From the publicity stills, we're talking a direct-to-camera chat by Matt Smith regardng the auction of the eleventh Doctor's costume.

So not unlike anything we've seen before then. But still, a little bit of fun and an extra bonus for the fans, so bring it on! Plus it's for a good cause, so dig deep if you enjoy.

Also, watch out for the first scene from the 2011 Christmas Special, which will also be featured in this year's Children in Need appeal. What will this mean for the television series? Who knows. Will the show be able to co-exist with a rebooted movie version as it did back in the sixties? Only time will tell, we guess.

The American producer has expressed that changes are required to make the format work, and it will most likely have a back to basics approach. Let's hope that this big-budget venture doesn't jeapordise the series that's shortly to become 50 years old and has kept the same continuity whilst constantly refreshing and regenerating more often than the lead character.

Doctor Who - The Doctor's Wife

Well what can I say? A fantastic episode of Doctor Who by the legendary Neil Gaiman. Who'd have guessed he was just a nerd? :) there were continuity references galore, from the entire history of the series, even from BEFORE the series began.

Wonderfully acted throughout and incredibly creepy in places, this really did feel like event TV. A couple more rooms being glimpsed wouldn't have gone amiss, but other than that budget constraint, it was fantastic.

I even got a little teary-eyed when Idris said 'Hello' at the end. wonderful.

Sales Call Coaching - Lancashire, Yorkshire, Manchester, Cheshire, Liverpool

Sales Call Coaching

Are you not getting the sales results you need?

Volition Performance Coaching

Anyone who has worked in sales or telesales will tell you that cold calling can be a relentless, thankless job.

Ensuring motivation and productivity remain high can be the major obstacle when striving for success within any sales environment.

Volition Performance Coaching have the ideal solution to your problem. Sylvester McCoy (who is currently in New Zealand filming the Hobbit) has been spotted, dressed as the seventh Doctor, filming some sequences against bluescreen for as-yet unconfirmed projects.

But what has been mentioned is that he's provided voice material for an animated version of the Dark Dimension, and he's performed some material as the Doctor that will be dropped in around pre-filmed scenes from the 1990's independant drama Downtime.

These scenes will also feature Pasmaha... Phamasaha... The old monk bloke from the Abominable Snowman.

A picture has leaked onto the net featuring Sylv standing at a table, trilogic game in front of him and a Celestial Toymaker type figure sat opposite him. What this footage is for, we do not know, but as another rumour was regarding the use of the Master's specially filmed sections from a late 90's Doctor Who computer game (starring Anthony Ainley), which apparently mentions the Toymaker, this would fit in with the whole 'game playing' scenario.

Whether any of these projects see the light of day, well it's too early to say, but it's nice to know that things like this are being filmed, and hopefully one day, we might all get to see what they've been up to!

Doctor Who - Day of the Moon

Search Amazon.com for doctor who series 6<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=ireveve-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B003EV6DBM&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="align:left;padding-top:5px;width:131px;height:245px;padding-right:10px;"align="left" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">So the second title of series 6 is Day of the Moon. It's a continuation from episode 1 - the Impossible Astronaut, and it looks like it's going to be a hell of a story. Steven Moffat said that he wanted the series finale to be shifted to the beginning of the series, rather than the end, in order to get people gripped.

Well, it's certainly got me interested! I'll be writing a full review after the episode has been televised, but I thought it would be fun to write a little preview to see what we know already.

So somebody dies. River, The Doctor, Rory or Amy. Except, River died back in series 4 with David Tennant, so it can't be her... The Doctor..? Well, yes I suppose it could be him, but he tends to regenerate when he's a bit under the weather, so it's doubtful that Matt Smith is going anywhere for a while... Rory? If so, it's a bit Deja-vu, as he died three times last year alone... And then there's Amy. hmm.... no reason why she can't die I suppose...

So here's my thoughts... while someone may die, I have a feeling that they may hang around for a while... You know, like Owen in Torchwood. I was listening to a few of the old Eighth Doctor & Lucie miller stories for the past couple of weeks, and I'm starting to wonder if perhaps the new series isn't 'borrowing' from Big Finishes 'Auntie Pat' saga. After all, Moff did mention a two part story involving shape changing aliens... Probably completely wrong, but time will tell.

Looking forward to this season immensely, can't wait to see where the Tardis takes them next...

Torchwood Miracle Day Series 4

<iframe src="http://rcm.amazon.com/e/cm?t=ireveve-20&o=1&p=8&l=bpl&asins=B002BVYBJW&fc1=000000&IS2=1&lt1=_blank&m=amazon&lc1=0000FF&bc1=000000&bg1=FFFFFF&f=ifr" style="align:left;padding-top:5px;width:131px;height:245px;padding-right:10px;"align="left" scrolling="no" marginwidth="0" marginheight="0" frameborder="0">As if two series of Doctor Who wasn't enough (well, one season split in half, but still!) we've also got series 5 of the Sarah Jane Adventures and Series Four of Torchwood, which should land, smack bang in the middle of the summer while the good Doctor is hanging off the cliff that Steven Moffat has promised!

John Barrowman is back as Captain Jack Harkness, Eve Myles is back as Gwen Cooper and Kai Owen returns as her long suffering husband Rhys. It's almost time for Steven Moffat's second season at the helm of Doctor Who, and I for one can't wait! I'm avoiding spoilers like the plague, which isn't easy when Doctor Who Magazine eblazen's 'One of them will die!' on the cover of their latest issue and Radio Times features a highly spoilerific photograph in its episode guide!

The preludes and clips that have been released all look stunning and the location filming in America looks grand, expensive and fun. Matt Smith appears to be on top form as the Doctor and the whole team seem to work together amazingly well. We've still got so many unanswered questions from last year, who are the Silents? Is Rory an Auton or not? Who exactly is River Song? And Amy is still a bit of a mystery too, there's something still not altogether right going on there as far as i'm concerned.

I'm looking forward to the Easter weekend with relish, it is going to be a fun ride. Add to that an episode written by Neil Gaiman (the Doctor's Wife), a pirate story (that could possibly have some links to Hartnell's penultimate 'The Smugglers' and the return of Craig Owens later in the year, and it's shaping up to be a belter of a season. Here's hoping!

Doctor Who: To the Death

Doctor Who to the Death CD (Dr Who Big Finish)Doctor Who : To the Death

Good grief, a lot happens in this audio. If you've been following the adventures of the Doctor and Lucie Miller, you'll know it's been a bit of a rollercoaster of late. This is the final audio from the fourth season and is a cracking season finale. Not only do we have the Daleks (which I'm finding a bit overused of late if i'm honest), we have the far more interesting Meddling Monk & Tamsin as well as the Doctor's granddaughter Susan & great grandson Alex.

I can't say much more about the tale without revealing too much, but suffice to say, this is a bit of a turning point for the Eighth Doctor. If you've been at odds with how the Eighth Doctor could press the button to end the time war, then a pointer (as alluded to in the 2005 tv series), you start to feel with this adventure that you can see where he's heading. And it's quite a dark place.

Excellent stuff, highly enjoyable and well done to Paul McGann, Graeme Garden & Sheridan Smith for making this such a memorable season finale!

new blog

here's a new blog folks:

http://got-dumped.blogspot.com

Iyaz - Friend Lyrics

Iyaz - Friend Lyrics

Friend Lyrics

Everybody tells me that you're pretty
and I always try to disagree, ohh
to see you with another guy
would tear me up deep inside
cuz they dont know you once belonged to me
ohh oh

Chorus:
& Got the chance to watch the movie on DVD last night, and I thought it was great.

Very tense, loved the way that it was set out as though it was a documentary, it worked so well. I sometimes find this type of filmaking technique distracting as actors tend to 'act' no mater what, which just doesn't seem natural when it's supposed to be a real documentary, but it worked so well here. It was a great story, and the characters felt real. There wasn't a hero, there was just a guy, and that is such a refreshing change from the usual hollywood blockbusters.

The effects were fantastic, and there was a few parallels with Avatar. Course, this came before Avatar was released, and there is no way that the parallels were on purpose, but it was nice to spot them anyway.

Top film, if you like your scifi with a bit of political umph, then you should really enjoy this film.

123

The communist reflects!

Gavin & Stacey series 3

Series 3 of James Cordon & Ruth Jones' charming sitcom has just begun its run on BBC1. It has a lot to live up to. Series 1 and 2 were perfect, heartwarming comedies. Could it live up to the hype?

Well judging from episode 1, yes. A great opening episode of the first series sees Gavin settling in to his new life in Barry. He's got new workmates, one of which is called Owyn Hughes. And before you ask, no he doesn't.

The cast clearly love working together and the results are plain to see. Here's hoping for a rush DVD release to add to series 1 and 2.

The writers have said that this is to be the last series of Gavin & Stacey. Lets hope they go out on a high.

Gomez - A New Tide Album Review

I love Gomez . What a great band to go and see live. Their songs are so feel good, that they're practically the only antidote these days to the depressing indie sounds of Coldplay and the like.

So, Gomez are back with a brand new album. And it's definitely a return to form for them, it's truly sublime.

One of the best things about Gomez, is that you can put their album on, whoever you have in your company and they will enjoy it. It's excellent as background music at a dinner party, but crank the volume up, and it's a great chill out end of night party album.

"Mix"

"Little Pieces"

"If I Ask You Nicely"

"Lost Track"

"Win Park Slope"

"Bone Tired"

"Airstream Driver"

"Natural Reaction"

"Very Strange"

"Other Plans"

"Sunset Gates"

The album is available here for a special price: Gomez A New Tide

Fall Out Boy - Greatest Hits - Believers Never Die

Fall Out Boy have released a new Greatest Hits album entitled Believers Never Die . A new single from Ian Brown ?

If you're a Madchester fan, then this won't disappoint. It's not an out and out classic from the heights of the Stone Roses , but it's a nice little single, catchy and within a couple of listens, you find yourself singing along. The chorus has an 80's kind of sound to it, it works really well.

The single also includes a remix by the Prodigy , and it's pretty good too. Nothing worse than getting a single with naff remixes, but this one is really, really good.

Well worth a look if you're a Stone Roses or Ian Brown fan.

The single or download can be found here: Ian Brown Just Like You

Enjoy

Harry Potter & The Half Blood Prince DVD Review

Well, the wait is finally over. Harry Potter and The Half Blood Prince is finally available on DVD. There's a bleakness to this and The Order of the Phoenix, a sign of the dreadful things to come.

If you're looking for a feel good film for Christmas, then this probably isn't it. If however, you're looking for a well paced, action packed adventure story full of twists and turns along the way, then buy this DVD, you won't be disappointed.

If you're a fan of the original Star Wars trilogy, then this film has more than a passing similarity to the Empire Strikes Back. It's a bridging film. Bridging one film to the finale, but still managing to be a great film in its own right.

The actors give it their all, and as usual Alan Rickman steals the show. Daniel Radcliffe , Rupert Grint and Emma Watson have grown up with the series and are becoming increasingly confident actors.

The supporting cast is as fantastic as usual, all the great British actors are there to help keep the level of acting permanently high.

The magical creatures are as well realised as ever, and the final battle is exactly as I envisioned it after reading the book, which is an impressive feat indeed. One thing is for sure, Hogwarts will never be the same again. And the fates of everyone lie in the balance. The lives of professors' Dumbledore , Magonagall, Snape and Hagrid will never be the same again.

I hope writer JK Rowling is proud of how well her books have transferred to the big screen, because this one is truely magic.

Buy Harry Potter And The Half Blood Prince Here at a special low price!

Farewell Charley... I'm drifting...

It's such a cleverly silly comedy. Half the gags, you can hear coming a mile away, which is great because you laugh before they arrive, its like you are waiting for the punchline.

Series 3 sees Nebulous, Paula, Rory and Harry facing old nemesis Dr Klench once more, played with gusto by David Warner. Also the last episode features Doctor Who himself David Tennant.

If you like your comedy genuinely funny, but aren't too po faced to laugh at silly humor, then get hunt this down as fast as possible... but remember....

No running in the corridor!

If you like this post, please feel free to buy me a coffee. I read up about it, it's not the nicest site in the world, and it's a wee bit clandestine in how it operates, but after doing a bit of research, I decided to give it a go.

Reviewstream pay $2 for every review they publish... but there's a catch... They are in total control of what gets published... And as the minimum payout is $50... You're probably way ahead of me on this one!

I did my research which told me that to have the best chance of the $2 payout per review, I should stick to the topics of medicine, electrical goods and local businesses.

With that in mind, I decided to spend a weekend shoving on reviews whenever I got chance, mainly to prove to myself that it was legit. I thought that if I stuck on over 50 reviews and they paid out, then it was well worth persuing and slapping a few on every day.

Sadly, that's where the catch comes in. At first, it takes you 3 whole days to get a reply saying yay or nay to your review.

It turned out they didn't want local businesses and were only accepting full price reviews for medicine and electrical goods, so I persisted with those, kinda giving them a second chance.

Now when I send a review, I instantly get a rejection letter knowing full well that there is no way on Earth they could have read it and reviewed it in that time.

So my review of reviewstream isn't too good.

All you end up doing is writing content rich reviews for them to cream adword money off with no chance of ever reaching the $50 threshold to pay for your hard work.

If you want to earn some money online then this is the only review you need concerning reviewstream... Don't waste your valuable time and go look for something else instead.

And for those of you that want to give it a go because they're gluttons for punishment, the link is www.reviewstream.com

If you like this post and it's saved you a lot of time and effort, feel free to buy me a coffee.

Asus Eee PC series Laptop

I first saw one of these while shopping round for a cheap new PC for work. I actually thought it was some sort of kid's toy when I first clapped eyes on it.

The Asus Eee PC series laptop really is tiny. It's about the size of a thin oversized hardback book (think Harry Potter and the Philosopher's stone!) and is incredibly lightweight.

It comes with charger that is more like a large phone charger than a laptop one, and it is absolutely brimming with features.

It doesn't have a hard drive in the normal sense and uses sold state memory instead. The memory size is tiny, but to be honest, if you are wanting something to do lots of work on, you wouldn't look at this anyway.

So what is it good for? Travel, surfing the net, general use. It has a built in Wi-Fi adaptor, that produces a nice strong connection and it is perfect for internet browsing.

Some models even have a built in webcam. It has speakers and a mic as well and comes pre installed with Skype, messenger, etc...

This would make it ideal for someone planning to go travelling. With the ability to phone home for free at a wifi hotspot, it would be invaluable.

Also as it uses web based email, etc... it is a great item to do a few basic work related tasks on while you're on the move.

It does take a little while to get used to the smaller keyboard, especially someone who has huge hands, like me, but I've been using it about 3 weeks now and I have grown used to it. in fact, I am typing this review on it now!

The very best thing about the Eee PC though is the price. At £199, it really is a must have item for anyone looking for an easy to use, dinky laptop.

Buy one, you won't be disappointed!

*****

Help keep this blog going by buying me a coffee.

Gavin & Stacey Series 1 DVD

I got into Gavin and Stacey quite late in the day. Sort of. I watched the first episode, really liked it, watched the second episode, ditto. Then thanks to holidays and odd scheduling on BBC3, I managed to watch the same two episodes again about 3 times but none of the other episodes of the series!

Thankfully, the series then went over to BBC2, and they had a full night, showing back to back episodes... I fell asleep after episode 3! Not because it was bad I hasten to add, just because I was tired.

So, it came to pass that I purchased the DVD on the day of release. I got it from Amazon.co.uk for a very reasonable price.

And my verdict of the series as a whole? Breathtakingly good! It isn't your usual BBC comedy. Those range from terrible predictable farce ( My Family , etc) to surreal humor ( League of Gentlemen , Mighty Boosh , etc...)

So it's nice and refreshing to get something, not exactly inbetween... something.... Real. All comedy shows are exaggerated and cartoonish in their own way, and Gavin & Stacey isn't. It feels real. It has exaggerated elements, but they feel believable thanks to the stellar performances by the regulars.

And that's the secret of Gavin & Stacey's success. Every character is real, important and funny. They all have their various quirks and odd behavioral patterns, but they are all real characters. You care what happens to them, you laugh with them and, amazingly, you cry with them.

That's a strong thing for a comedy series to achieve, and hats off to the writers, James Cordon & Ruth Jones for doing such an amazing job of it here.

Series two is just as good, but we'll wait for the DVD release to review that one.

If you want 3 hours worth of heart warming comedy, then buy a bottle of rosé, order in a pizza and settle down with someone you care about. Stick this DVD on and you're guaranteed a perfect evening.

*****

If you like my recommendation and enjoyed Gavin & Stacey, please feel free to buy me a coffee.

Welcome to I Review Everything!

First post, how exciting!

Welcome to my Blog.
